He is survived by: his wife Carol Hickman; his children, Morgan Douglas Hickman (Leah), James Leonard Hickman Jr. (Liudmla), Ty Turkett (Karen) and Christie Miller (Dewayne); his nephew John Roberson; and his niece Janna Russell. He is also survived by 6 granddaughters and 3 grandsons, numerous other nieces and nephews.
