He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathaniel McEwen and Beatrice McEwen (Blewett); and his siblings, June McWhorter, Faye Johnson and Jack McEwen.
He is survived by: his wife Marie McEwen of Bowie; his children, Don McEwen Jr. (Marilyn) of Charlie, TX, Delores McEwen (Ray) of Glenwood, AR and Tommy McEwen (Jeni) of Montague, TX; and his sister Gay Richardson (Tom) of Seymour, TX. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson.
