He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Wallace and Ruth Whitehead Wallace; his sister Patty Byrd; his niece Carman Byrd; and his brothers-in-law, Jack Byrd and Wendell Powell.
He is survived by: his former wife Kathryne Decell Massey; his sister Darlene Powell of Ferriday, Louisiana.; his sons, Ward Wallace (Julie), Chuck Wallace (Terri), Wes Wallace (Mitzi) of Bowie and Chris Wallace of Irving; his grandchildren, Blake Wallace (Tiffany) of Lindsey, Jayla Minyard (Kyle) of Bowie, Shelbi Wallace Wood (Nathan) of Bowie, Chelsey Henry (Riley) of Bowie, Karli Hudson of Northlake, Kyle Hudson of Cleburne, Kelli Wallace of Bowie, Levi Wallace of Fort Worth and Madison Wallace of Fort Worth; his great grandchildren, Banks Everett Wallace, Beckett Wood, Blakley Thompson, Garyson Minyard, Marley Austin, Everley, Jake, West-Lee Henry and Amelia Wallace; and his nieces, Allison Byrd (Cookie), Rhonda Powell Lewis (Brian) of Ferriday and Wendy Powell Moon (Toby) of Minden, TX.
The family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church Building Fund and to the Bowie Educational Foundation.
