He was predeceased by: his parents, Mose Tompkins and Hattie Tompkins (Parr); his sons, Mike Tompkins and Joey Tompkins; his daughter-in-law Kay Tompkins; and his sister Paula Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Tompkins of Bowie; his children, Sabra Ann Robertson (Greg) of Bowie and Brad Tompkins of Callisburg; his brother Jimmy Dale Tompkins (Darlene) of Nocona; and also, Richie Evans (Kristi) of Gordonville and Jana Turbeville (Mike) of Gainesville. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
