With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Retha Rae Spoon of Borger, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Retha Rae left this world on November 20, 2024 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mavis Jones and Les Crain (M. L.); her brothers, Wilmer, Clide and Bill; and her daughter-in-law Vickie Spoon.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Spoon (Bobby); her children, Deborah Newlon (Paul) of Yukon, Oklahoma, Gerald Spoon (Kaylan) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Darrell Spoon (Betty) of Borger, Texas; her grandchildren, Steve Newlon (Jessica), Jason Newlon (Becki), Jeana Lovelace (Nick), Misty White (Scott), Christi Smith (Gary), Robert Spoon (Lucy), Bridgette Gaddis (Blake), Samantha Spoon, Demetria Meyer and April Rodgers (Robert); her sisters-in-law, Lillian Crain and Ruth Spoon; and her pet Dottie. She is also survived by 23 great grandchildren, six great, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends, and her constant companion.
Viewing was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A burial will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Bokchito Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Word of Life Church (415 Gardner St, Borger, TX 79007).
