He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Onley and Mabel Onley; and his sons, Timothy and James. He is survived by: his wife Sondra Lea (Thompson); his sisters, JoAnn and Donna; and his children, Beth Garber (John), Lynn Morrison (Jeff), Steve Onley (Liana), Pete Onley (Shelly), Becki Schindorff (Greg) and Debby Siefert (Josh). He is also survived by 47 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren, and a host of extended family.
He donated his extensive library of books to three colleges in Figi.
