He is survived by: his parents, David Chavez and Bertha Alicia Urquidi; his son Xavier Chavez; and his siblings, Victor Chavez, Ana Chavez, Melissa Chavez and Susana Chavez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
