He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Newman and Ella Mae Newman; his son Jimmy Dewayne Newman; and his sister Mary Ella Bennett. He is survived by: his wife Janice Diane Burton; and his children, David Newman (Mickey) of Fritch and Joanna Beck (Jason) of Amarillo.
The family asks that donations be made to The American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
