He was predeceased by: his parents, David Earl Sumpter and Nova Faye McDonald Sumpter; and his daughter Tammy Sumpter. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Moran of Fritch; his children, Kelly Mills (Brett) of Fritch and Michael Sumpter (Pam) of Hereford; his grandchildren, Kayla Drumm, Sara Sumpter, Morgan Sumpter, Tyler Mills (Kiersta) and Kacey Love (Darion); his great grandchildren, Amelia, Cooper of Aubri, CJ and Kamyah; and his sister Patricia Baxter of Austin.
