He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Buxton and Bertha Derrick Buxton; his former wife Norma June Moad; his daughter Connie Mattis; and his siblings, Dale Buxton, Jack Buxton, Bernadine Barclay, Maxine Steven and Nadine Battin.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Rodgers Buxton of Booker; his children, Patricia Proffer (Larry) of Lipscomb, Barbara Wilcox (Ken) of Navarre, Lori Anderson of Lipscomb, Earl Campbell of Houston and Kevin Campbell (Flora) of Amarillo; and his siblings, Lowell Buxton (Dorothy) of Amarillo, Calvin Buxton of Hale Center, Jerry Buxton of Perryton and Shirley Ann Stone of Amarillo. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
