He is survived by: his wife Bettye Matthews of Bonham, TX; his children, Scott Matthews of Bonham, TX, Kevin Matthews of Bonham, TX, John Matthews (Stacy) of Howe, TX and Kammy Bentley of Frisco, TX; his brother Billy Jack Matthews (Faye) of Ravenna, TX; and his grandchildren, Hannah Matthews, Llela Abernathy, Ava Abernathy and Bronson Smith. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
