She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Calvin Cearley and Mabel Jones Trout; her former husband Carl Edward McGehee; her husband Tommy Thornton; her daughters, Carla Weldy, Deborah Mitchell (Kenny), Tonya McGehee (Rose) and Teresa Stewart (Jerry); her stepdaughters, Amy Sidebottom (Robb) and Lani Maldonado (John David); and her brother Calvin Cearley (Jeanette). She was also cherished by 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fannin County Children's Center (CASA) 112 W. 5th Street, Bonham, Texas and the First Presbyterian Church, 818 N. Main St. Bonham, Texas 75418 (The Prayer Garden Fund or the New Pew Fund).
