She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Hammond and Beatrice Hammond (Jerry Owens); her son Steve Owens; and her brothers, Harlan Old and Monte Old.
She is survived by: her children, Kriss Owens (Jimette Kerr) and Linda Owens (Mark Shull); her grandchildren, Blake Slawson (Ashton) of Celina, TX, Kristina Fontenot (Todd) of Lake Charles, LA and Garrett Slawson (Caroline) of Sherman, TX; and her great grandchildren, Bentley, Anistyn Slawson, Rylee, Annabelle Fontenot and Nash Slawson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home (2022 N Center St, Bonham, TX 75418). A graveside service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Willow Wild Cemetery (1220 W 7th St, Bonham, TX 75418).
