He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Olin Kennedy and Lela Opal Kennedy (Cash); and his brothers, Herbert, Paul and Dickie.

He is survived by: his wife Frances Elaine White; his son Kerry Don Kennedy (Kim); his grandchildren, Katy Kennedy (Kyle Artrip) and Kendall Kennedy (Shay Wolsey); and his siblings, Billie, Jo, Margaret, Reba, Linda, John, Thomas and Jackie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
