He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Jesse "Orval" Stoddard and Laudys Belle Braboy Stoddard of Bonham, TX; and his sister Mary Faith Stoddard Hatley of Longview, TX. He was also cherished by three nephews, a great nephew, a great niece, several cousins.
After leaving Cornell, F. G. returned to Bonham where he lived and helped care for his mother with Alzheimer's. He began a second career commuting to Dallas from Bonham, where he was employed for 11 years as the Chief Editor of major emergency medical texts for the American Heart Association.
