He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommie Barnes and Tennie Barnes; his wife Shirley Ann Barnes; and his son Charles Gray "Chuck" Barnes, Jr.. He is survived by: his son Kevin Barnes (Melissa) of Rockwall, TX.; his grandchildren, Mark Barnes (Jessica), Kelsey Barnes, Alexis Britton, John Britton, Ryan Barnes, Caitlyn Sorrells (Michael) and Dillion Barnes; and his great grandchildren, Veronica Barnes, Darby Barnes, Madelyn Sorrells, Aubrey Sorrells, Jaden Barnes and Peyton Barnes.
