It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aubrey Allen Gist of Bonham, Texas, born in Clarksville, Texas, who passed away on September 9, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Austin Gist and Lorene Sexton (Parks); his grandparents, N. J. and Willie Mae Gist; his grandson Alex Lee; and his brother-in-law Hall Alexander.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Gist; his sister Mary Hogan (Duke); his children, Kathryn Yater (Chris), Joel Reese and Regina Lee Best (Gabriel); his grandchildren, Brianna McClain (Bobby), Ashton Hauge, Cecilee Reese, Brodi Markum, Zoee Reese and Ethan Lee; his great grandchildren, Jayden Hauge and Chloe Hauge; and his sisters-in-law, Brenda Newbern and Evelyn Alexander.
