We are sad to announce that on July 18, 2022, at the age of 62, Gayla Macek Shimek of Boling, Texas, born in Wharton, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Joe Rudolph Macek; and her brother Ronald Macek. She is survived by: her husband Ronnie Shimek of Boling; her children, Kelsey Folmar (Kendan) of Wharton and Kyle Shimek (Helen) of Richmond; her brother Donald Macek; and her grandchildren, Bella Rivera, Sophia Rivera, Alex Shimek and Eleanor Folmar. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, extended family.

Family requests memorials to Houston Hospice of El Campo.
