He is survived by: his sisters, Maria E. Valdez of Boling, Sister Guadalupe Flores, Manuela Lopez and Antonia Arizpe (Larry); his sister-in-law Teresa Flores; and his nieces and nephews, Mike Valdez (Monica), Deacon David Valdez (Debra), Martin S. Valdez (Cindy), John Valdez (Lisa), Ann Valdez, Emilio Rodriguez, Jr., Rosa Linda Ramirez (Arthur), Susan Ramirez (Rick), Paul Flores, Michael Flores (Dena), Sylvia Cervantez, Lydia De La Cerda (Raymond), Olga Caballero (Robert), Monica Reyes (Joel), Laura Lopez, Cristina Aristondo (German) and Steven Arizpe.
