He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Emily Canfield; his parents, Stephen Canfield and Sylvia Canfield; and his brother Allen Canfield. He is survived by: his daughters, Sylvia Leggett of Reno, Nevada and Virginia Spencer; his son-in-law Othal Spencer of Mount Vernon; his granddaughters, Emily Christie, Amber McGinley (Blake) and Bailie Marks; and his great grandchildren, Hazel Christie, Ty McGinley, Jace McGinley and Sloan Marks.
