She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Carson and Nell Dee Kilpatrick; her husband Charles Rainey McKinney; and her sisters, Mona Bryant and Madge MacDonald.
She is survived by: her daughter Charla McKinney (Michael Murphy) of Garland, Texas; and her siblings, Jackie (Joyce Rhodes) of Bogata, Dale Rhodes of Bogata, Shannon Rhodes of Bogata and Susan Howard of Longview, Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
