He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Beaton and Leolin Harrison Gross; his siblings, Jane Mitchell and Robert Gross; and his daughter Allison Gross Wallace.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Black Gross; his children, Richard Harrison Jr. (Lori) and Susan Gross Reedy (Rob); his son-in-law John Eldon Wallace (Laura); his grandchildren, William Glenn Reedy, Allison England Foutch, John Eldon Wallace, Jr. (Melissa), Hayden Foutch Ostendorf (Danny), William Harrison Wallace (Ellie), Wes England Wallace (Ginny), Elizabeth Ann Reedy, Richard Harrison Gross III, Robert Preston Wallace (Kate) and Graham Beaton Gross (Maddie); and his great grandchildren, Sophie Allison Wallace, Emerson Jane Wallace, Avery Hayes Ostendorf, Wylie Alti Wallace, Betsy Grace Wallace, Stephen Ireland Ostendorf and Wallace. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Helena's Episcopal Church (410 N Main St, Boerne, TX 78006). A reception was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
