She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Otto and Myrtle McNeil Fick; her husband Dr. Ray Smart; her siblings, Casper Fick, McNeil Fick (Mary) and Charles Fick; and her brother-in-law Ewald Ising.
She is survived by: her sister Bobbie Ising; her children, Duane Smart (Jackie), Dan Smart (Patty) and Linda Folmer (Andrew); and her grandchildren, David Smart (Tawnya), Dustin Smart (Jennifer), Suzie Smart, Jennifer Johnson (Jeff), Sara Smart (Dustin), Amy Weitlauf (Carl) and Daniel Folmer.
