He was predeceased by: his father David Fuentes; and his brother Robert "Bubba" Fuentes. He is survived by: his mother Yvonne Fuentes; his wife Patti; his children, Raquel and David (Amber); his stepmother Beckie; his sister Marie; and his half-brother Chris (Michaelea). He is also survived by numerous brother in-laws, sister in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who were his extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart of Texas SPCA or the Texas chapter of the American Cancer Society.
