He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. Hooper Sr. and Virginia Bostick Hooper; his stepfather Arlie L. Freer; and his son James M. Hooper III. He is survived by: his wife Deborah; his children, Jon A. Hooper (Shelly) and Angela Hooper Sumlin; and his grandsons, Hunter James Halcomb, Heath Hooper and Hayden Hooper.
