He was predeceased by: his mother Margarette Atnip; his wife Virginia Atnip; his father Virgil Sr. Atnip; his sister Lena O'Bryant; and his son-in-law Jimmy Hodges.
He is survived by: his children, Beverly Hodges of Blossom, TX, Dewayne Atnip (Angie) of Blossom, TX, Randy Atnip (Gayle) of Cuthand, TX and Kevin Atnip (Alicia) of Sheridan, AR.; his brothers, TJ, Jerry Wayne, Robert and Danny Atnip; and also, Ruthann, Melba, Brenda, Shirley and Debbie. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 27 wonderful greatgrandchildren.
