She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Witherspoon and Bernice Witherspoon; her sister Betty; her brother-in-law Richard Rice; and her brothers, Glenn and Ronnie Witherspoon.
She is survived by: her husband John Savell; her daughter Melanie; her son-in-law Kenny Backus; her grandchildren, Britney Backus Adams (Scott) and Barrett Savell Backus (Amy); and her great grandchildren, Ethan Scott Adams, Evan Backus Adams and Emma Joy Adams.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in Daphine's name to Sunny Glen Children's Home, 2385 W. Expressway 83, San Benito, TX 78586.
