He was predeceased by: his parents, Reinhardt Kolwes and Ena Kolwes (Albert); his spouse Verlien Hegemeyer; and his brother-in-law C. A. Reddick. He is survived by: his sons, Tommy Kolwes (Rebecca) of Bellville and Darrell Kolwes of Brenham; his grandchildren, Miranda Kolwes of Katy and Jacob Kolwes of College Station; his sister-in-law Ida Mae Reddick of Industry; and his caregivers, Surlean, Chic, Judy, Anna, Betty, Ann, Dezteni, Nancy, Tiffany, Sam, Murlean and Kearsten.
