She was predeceased by: her parents, Avery McLaughlin and Ted McLaughlin; her husband Don Simpson; her brother Beryl McLaughlin; and her grandchildren, Cory Don Simpson and Tana Simpson.
She is survived by: her children, Ann Simpson of Blanket, Gary Simpson of Blanket and Steve Simpson (Melissa) of Early; her grandchildren, Chelsea, Shelbie, Sara, Seth and Austin (Shauna Kay); and her siblings, Albert McLaughlin and Emma Reid.
