He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Nixon Johnson and Elouise Hardin Johnson; his wife Letitia Annette Moss; his sister Linda Elouise Johnson; and his sons, Michael Wayne Johnson, Miss Sugar and Westie.

He is survived by: his children, Gregory Wayne Johnson (Sandra Moser) of Las Cruces, Karan Kay Johnson (Sienna Rivers) of Houston, Texas and Elizabeth Annette Reno (James Reno) of Blanco, Texas. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, loving friends.

The family requests memorials to the American Diabetes Association and the American Heart Society, in lieu of flowers.
