He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Carter and Estell Carter (Knowles); and his wife Doris Lee Carter (Waggaman). He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Elizabeth John (Bryan) and Melissa Ann Carter; his brother Bobby Lee Carter (Theresa); and his grandsons, Rex Hurst and Brandon John. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
