He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Shelton and Susie Chapman Shelton; his wife Joan Shelton; his siblings, Eddie Shelton, Billie Shelton, Allen Shelton and Mary Sue Davies; his grandchildren, Stacey Shelton and Jared Varela; and his stepson Greg Martin.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard Shelton (Kelly) of Burleson, Randall Shelton (Tammy) of Alvarado and Ronny Shelton (Wendi) of Alvarado; his stepdaughter Teresa Wilkins of Hawkins; and his grandchildren, Casey Shelton (Diana), Justin Shelton (Lauren), Jacob Shelton (Shelby), Joshua Shelton (Sari), Brianna Shelton, Ezekiel Shelton, Sadie Shelton, Amanda Keech (Adam), Heather Baxter, Jessica Gales (Sam), Macky Reese and Lauren Hinkson (Aaron). He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
