He was predeceased by: his parent Doris Parsons; his son Doyle Lee Parsons; and his grandson Jason Lee Allen (Jaylee). He is survived by: his wife Linda Parsons of Blackwell; his children, Carrie Parsons of Blackwell and Robert Parsons of Abilene; his grandchildren, Luke Parsons, Jessa Kay Allen and Danielle Parsons; and his siblings, Reese Parsons (Tere) of Blackwell, Robert Parsons (Sheila) of Sweetwater and Patricia Rainey of Austin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Blackwell Volunteer Fire Department.
