She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Hales and Lola Smith Walker; her husband G. K. Gaston; her siblings, Dorothy Voorhees (Bill) and Dean Walker; her granddaughter Candace Wright; and her sister-in-law Mary Walker.

She is survived by: her children, Wanda Broome (Jerry) of Pueblo, Keith Wright (Yvette) of Grand Junction and Troy Wright of Blackwell; her stepsons, Skipper Gaston of Blackwell, Eddie Gaston of Frankfurt, Germany and Raymond Parker (Sue) of Spring; her sister Shirley Walker of Dallas, Texas.; and her grandchildren, Natalie Wright of Telluride, Kaitlyn Gaston of Blackwell, Tasha Gaston of Mesquite, Liz Parker of Abilene, Erin Parker of Mesquite and Joe Parker of Abilene, Texas..
