He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvie Smith and Edna Richardson Smith Webb (Nona Wells Smith); and his brother Roland Smith. He is survived by: his significant other Nona Wells; his daughters, Sandy Jenkins (Rocky) of Fredericksburg, TX, Vickie Welch Lipps (Ray) of Blackwell, TX, Nona Gail McCall of Midland and Jeannie Bailey (Bob) of Midland; his grandchildren, Shane Jenkins, Michelle, Brent Jenkins (Esther), Bill Welch (Kitty), Roger Welch, Jr. (Rachal), Brandon Lipps (Hannah), Shelley Jackson (Tye), Tricia Reed (Alan), Amber Harris (Cody), Amanda Fioretti (Tommy), Lucas Bailey (Katie), Rainy Hilliard (Derek), Zack Woody and Brittany Woody; and his sisters, Bobbie Draper (A. J.) and Joyce Yates Turner (Don). He is also survived by 29 great grandchildren.
