He was predeceased by: his son Nathan Spooner; his parents, Calvin Spooner and Mary Spooner; and his siblings, Evelyn Bonvillian, James Spooner and Ruth Goodrich.
He is survived by: his spouse Kelly Spooner; his children, Joshua Spooner, Sophia Spooner, Dominick Spooner, Bryce Culin, Brendan Culin and Abby Broussard (Justin); and his grandchildren, Amethyst Cornista (Steven), Trystan Spooner, Jayden Hinote, McKenzy Hinote, Pyper Broussard, Landon Culin and Wyatt Culin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials in his name can be made to any animal rescue foundation or to the Disabled American Veterans.
