He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ysidro Reyes and Adela Montez Reyes; his wife Herlinda Garibaldo Reyes; his grandson Paul Anthony Revilla; his brother-in-law Ramon Garcia (Handsome Brute); his daughters, Consuelo Reyes and Chriselda Reyes (Abel Jr.); his sister Anita Garcia; and his grandchildren, Valerie Gonzalez (Richard), Lianna Revilla (Julie), Cassandra Carmona (Oscar Jr.), Arisela Revilla (Martin), Jacob Revilla (Crystal), Nicholas Lowman and Ashley Paschal. He was also cherished by six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
