He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Moerbe and Minnie Michalk Moerbe; his wife Margaret; and his sisters, Allyne Moerbe, Edna Krause and Annette Thiele.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Moerbe (Susan) of Bishop, Marcella Nolen (James) of Sinton, Mark Moerbe (Anita) of Brenham, Malcom Moerbe (Jamie) of Plainview and Melissa Crozier (Paul) of Bishop. He is also survived by his children, twelve grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.
