With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Upton of Bishop, Texas, who passed away on October 2, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Godwin and Bertha Godwin; her siblings, Weldon "Bo" Godwin, Casille Elizabeth Godwin and Laverne Godwin; and her sister-in-law Ernestine Godwin.
She is survived by: her husband Leo Paul Upton; her children, Rev. Paul Allan Upton (Stella) and Renee Upton Price (William "Bill"); her brother James "Sonny" Godwin; her grandchildren, Jessica Ruth Upton Balderas (Jose), Eric James Upton (Leah), Adam Michael Price and Liana Shari Upton (K. D. Monceaux); and her great grandchildren, Jenna Lael Balderas, Joel Ericsson Upton, Oliver James Upton, Lila Noelle Upton and Everett Jude Upton.
Due to the current COVID pandemic and her beloved Sulphur area dealing with the aftermath of hurricane Laura, services and burial will be held privately.
