He was predeceased by: his wife Porfiria "Pila" Hernandez; his son Hector Hernandez; his parents, Filiberto S. Hernandez and Maria P. Hernandez; and his sister Connie Hernandez.
He is survived by: his children, Eliseo Hernandez Jr. of Houston, Jose Armando (Joe), Roy Hernandez (Melissa) of Bishop, Rene Hernandez and Nora Perez Castro (Cosme) of San Antonio; his grandchildren, Joe Anthony Hernandez of Corpus Christi, Amanda Hernandez, Natalie Hernandez, Sarah Hernandez of San Antonio and Lucas Chavez of Bishop; and his siblings, Emma Barrientes of Bishop, Filiberto Hernandez (Alicia) of Houston, Abelardo Hernandez (Guadalupe) of Houston and Mike Hernandez of Corpus Christi. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
