He was predeceased by: his parents, Augustine Fonseca and Romana Gomez Fonseca; and his sister Lydia Guzman (Julian Guzman). He is survived by: his wife Amalia Gomez; his children, Sandy Fonseca, Juan Fonseca, Gabriel Fonseca (Michelle Castro), April Fonseca, Rolando Fonseca and Augustine Fonseca; and his siblings, Daniel Fonseca (Lupe Fonseca), Hector Fonseca (Ramona Fonseca) and Aida Valenzuela (Valdemar Valenzuela). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren.
