She was predeceased by: her grandmother Maria Santos Castillo; her father Edward G. Mendez; and her brother Edward Mendez, Jr.. She is survived by: her mother Sylvia T. Mendez (Velma); her siblings, Patsy McDowell and Ralph Mendez; her husband Esequiel Valles, Jr.; her daughters, Bernadette Valles and Briana Valles; her daughters-in-law, Stacey Yervasi and Melanie Valles; and her grandchildren, Elliott Yervasi and Avery Kunze.
Viewing was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. A rosary was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. A burial was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Trinity Memorial Park (6900 US-87, Big Spring, TX 79720).
