He was predeceased by: his grandson Joe Angel Gonzales; and his brothers, Albert Ortega, Johnny Ortega, Raymond Ortega and Jose Ortega.
He is survived by: his wife Irma Ortega of Big Spring; his children, Anthony Ortega (Alma) of Big Spring, Angelo Garcia (Stephanie) of Bermerton, Julian Garcia of Lynnwood, Washington, Jennifer Ortega Lozano (Junior) of Big Spring and Rosalinda Ortega Saenz of Big Spring; and his siblings, Rudy Ortega (Maria) of Big Spring, Carlos Ortega (Rachel) of Phoenix, Arizona and Mary Puga of Big Spring. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren.
