It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sam Pena Sr. (Big Spring, Texas), who passed away on February 1, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Margarita Pena and Alberto Pena; and his siblings, Alberto Cordova Pena, Jr., Raynaldo Pena and Delia Pena.
He is survived by: his children, Sam Pena, Jr. of Big Spring, Melissa Pena of Big Spring, Crystal Martinez (Gabriel) of San Antonio and Jeremy Pena (Alexis Ruiz) of Big Spring; his grandchildren, Mariah Martinez, Monica Wolever, Isreal Martinez, Marcus Pena, Aleric Smith, Jacob Martinez, Eliana Pena and Kylie Alcantar; and his siblings, Gloria Henson, Norma Brumfield (Ken), Alicia Musshafen (Paul), Rebecca Pena, Delma Pena, Oralia Elkins, Molly Bashaw, Margie Lentz (Steve), France Unruah (Bill), Lydia Cervantez and Edward Pena. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, & uncles.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Myers & Smith Funeral Home & Chapel (301 E 24th St, Big Spring, TX 79720). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
