He is survived by: his children, Lori Melaas (Bill) of Spokane Valley, WA, Jennifer Overton (Jerry) of Big Spring, TX, Candi Whitehead (Kenneth) of Big Spring, TX, Michelle Hoffman (Tyler) of Artesian, SD, Bobbi Haynes (Chris) of Spokane, WA, Brian Mims (Angie) of Big Spring, TX, Matthew Mims (Virginia) of Spring, TX and Stefen Stone (Jenn) of Midland, TX; his siblings, Joleen Butrum Facile (Donny) of Sherman, SD and Duane Butrum (Kris) of Mitchell, SD; his mother-in-law Betty Findley of Big Spring; his sister-in-law Jamie Roberts (Troy) of Stanton, TX; his grandchildren, Chris Mims, Jason Butrum, Austin Butrum (Nicole), Bryce Melaas, Eric Melaas, Rachel Hepper (Ryan), Malori Hepper, Shaunie Farmer, Gage Farmer, Hali Huckabee (Alex), Spencer Wells (Brooke), Courtney Golleher (Jayden), Brianna Mims, Olivia Mims, Savannah Humann, Layla Stone, Jade Butrum, Krysta Whitehead, Michael Butrum, Jamie Butrum and Bradley Eichman; and his great grandchildren, Aubree Acosta, Paxtyn Acosta, Kaysen Kerby, Beau Walker, Beau Butrum, Dena Butrum, Griffin Huckabee, Thea Wells and Delilah Walker. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Spring Creek Fellowship (1801 FM700, Big Spring, TX 79720).
