She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Kate Brown-Holley and F. M. Holley; her sister Margaret Holley Hickson (Robert Hickson); her brother-in-law Jack Cathey (Katie); and her grandson Sloan Lee Cathey.
She is survived by: her son Wacey Wayne Cathey (Jeannie Woodruff); her husband Bob Cathey; her son Mike Cathey (Marla); her grandchildren, Shelley Cathey Lewallen (Shane), Judd Cathey (Tara) and Kenna Cathey Thomas (Wesley); and her great grandchildren, Kayley, Hannah Burk, Rhett, Rylan Thomas, Lizzy Hackler and Blakelee Cathey.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks to make a charitable donation to Interim Hospice of Big Spring or a charity of your choice in Mary Ruth's memory.
