He was predeceased by: his father J. D. Carter. He is survived by: his wife Kaye Hall; his children, Rebekah Hall, Jesse Hall, Eric Hall (Julia) and Fayth Meyer; his granddaughter Lacey Greene; his mother Barbara Carter; his grandmother Valta "Mema" Brock; and his sister Sherry Holmes.
