She was predeceased by: her parents, Longino Zapata and Guadalupe Garza Zapata; her husband Benigno Gomez; her daughter Mary Helen Escovedo; and her grandchildren, Kasey Narbaiz, Britney Ramirez and Branden Guzman.
She is survived by: her children, Lupe Martinez (Mario), Lydia Martinez (Willie), Gena Granados (Ernie), Nancy Rodriguez (Ralph) and Aguinaldo Martinez III; her siblings, Luis "Loy" Zapata (Loy), Delia Subia, Mary Subia, Helen Martinez and Rosie Armendarez; and her adoptive daughters, Frances Diaz, Stephanie Stewart and Stephanie Canales. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren and 3 great great greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel (906 S Gregg St, Big Spring, TX 79720). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cemetery Mount Olive Memorial Park (1701 TX-350, Big Spring, TX 79720).
