He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Wayne and Madge Mitchell (McBrayer); and his former wife Natha Mitchell (McMinn). He is survived by: his wife Dixie Mitchell (Perryman); his children, Natalie Trampe (Michael), Valerie Smith (Jim), Margaret Hunt (Truett), John S. Henry (Blake), Patrick Henry (Wendy), Elizabeth Baize (Craig), Maria Flavin (Kevin), Anne Frances Meeks (Terry) and James Perryman Henry (Heather); his grandchildren, Micah Trampe (Bailey), Nathan Trampe (Callie), Matai Trampe (Amanda), Savanah Tunnell (Josh) and Sean Smith (Lauren); his great grandchildren, Melanie, Caleb and Brailynn; and his siblings, Mary Catherine Mitchell, Charlotte Wetzel (Grayson), Billy Tom Mitchell (Barbara) and Jimmy Neil Mitchell. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
