He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Franks and Oneita Franks; his former wife Alta Stephens; his sister Nelda Henderson; and his grandparents, J. L., Cora Franks, Jess and Ida Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Lena; his sons, Steve Franks (Brenda) and Kent Franks (Peggy); his stepson Billy Arp (Brenda); his grandchildren, Cole Franks (Gabrielle) and Kyle Franks (Madelyn); his great grandchildren, Percy Franks and Opal Franks; his sister Joyce Walts; and also, Eric Arp (Jennifer), Jenny Holster, Josh Crowder, Jessica Crowder and Chelsea Nelson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Midland, Hospice of Brownwood, Crestview Baptist Church or the Springboard Center.
